[Classes 44 and 89 (i)] [Also in Group X] Fasteners for securing articles 1 to apertured supports 3 comprise a pair of arms 8, 9 each having a spring to receive a stud 6 or the like on the article, one of the arms 9 being at an angle to the other and having elements 13 adjacent the opening to engage the stud under spring tension on the side remove from the article. The part 1 may be an ornamental strip to be secured to a relatively thin panel 3 and it may be of plastic material, wood, metal &c. The fastener is in one piece, preferably of spring steel and has a socketed opening 11 pressed up from the arm 8 and .provided with one or more notches 12 or that it may be a friction fit on the stud to retain the fastener in assembled relation until a test can be applied to force the arm 9 into the position shown in Fig. 5 in which the tongues 13 bite into the stud and effect a non-rattle assembly.
