The present invention provides a grinding stone, which finishes the edge of a glass substrate to a high quality and which makes stable quality grinding possible. This grinding stone for precision grinding of the edge of disc-shaped glass substrates that have a circular hole in the center comprises abrasive grinding grains and a binder for binding said abrasive grinding grains to each other. For said grinding stone, the hardness, which is measured by a nanoindentation test method in which a binder section of the surface of said grinding stone is indented using a Berkovich tip with a load of 250 mM, is in the range of 0.4 - 1.7 GPa. |
