The present invention relates to an insulation resistance measuring apparatus and method. The insulation resistance measuring apparatus includes: a parameter resistor that is connected to a negative terminal of a battery; a shunt resistor that is connectable to the parameter resistor; a current detecting circuit that includes an operational amplifier for detecting and outputting voltages of both ends of the shunt resistor; and a control unit that includes a switch control port that controls a switch connected between the parameter resistor and the shunt resistor to be switched on or off, a detection signal output port that selectively applies a first high voltage signal and a first low voltage signal to the shunt resistor, an adjustment signal output port that adjusts an output voltage of the operational amplifier within a predetermined range, and an ADC that is connected to an output port of the operational amplifier, and that calculates an insulation resistance of the battery using a predefined insulation resistance calculating formula including, as a parameter, an amount of a change in a first voltage for the output voltage of the operational amplifier when the first high voltage signal and the first low voltage signal are applied to the shunt resistor. The insulation resistance measuring apparatus according to the present invention may measure an insulation resistance using the operational amplifier, making it possible to accurately measure an insulation resistance without an external influence. |
