The invention relates to a headlight for vehicles, in particular for lorries, comprising a light unit that is swivelably mounted about a swivel axis, a linear drive unit including an actuator than can be moved in a linear manner, a swivel lever which is coupled to the actuator in a first end region and engages onto the light unit in a second end region, such that the light unit can be brought into a a predefined swivel position by swivelling the swivel lever about the swivel axis, wherein same is swivelably mounted about a swivel axis in the second end region of the swivel lever, such that the swivel lever has an engaging tappet at a first lever distance from the adjusting swivel axis, to which the light unit is coupled, such that the actuator is coupled to the adjusting swivel axis with the swivel lever at a second lever arm distance, wherein the second lever arm distance is at least three times as large as the first lever arm distance.
