The metallically finished decorative part (1) for a vehicle display device is characterized by comprising a substrate body (2) that is fabricated with synthetic resin, a metallic thin film (3) that is formed with metal and adhered to the surface of the substrate body (2), and a plurality of grooves (4) that are formed in the surface of the metallic thin film (3) corresponding to the shape of the surface of the substrate body (2), wherein the plurality of grooves (4) are formed such that the radius of curvature (R) of the corner (8) constituting the apex between adjacent grooves (4) is greater than 0 and equal to or less than 38.0 µm. Thereby, in the constitution of the metallically finished decorative part (1) for a vehicle display device in which the metallic thin film (3) is disposed on the surface of the resin substrate body (2), it is possible to suitably ensure a metallic appearance. |
