A washing machine and a controlling method therefor. The washing machine comprises: a touch display screen (110), at least two washing units which are independent of each other and a control module (120) which is connected to the touch display screen (110) and at least two washing units separately, wherein the at least two washing units comprise a first washing unit (130) and a second washing unit (140); and the touch display screen (110) is split to simultaneously display respective control menus of the first washing unit (130) and the second washing unit (140), the touch display screen (110) is also provided with a switching icon used for switching interfaces of the two washing units, and the touch display screen (110) is used for regulating and being split to simultaneously display the running states of the corresponding washing units under the control of the control module (120). The washing machine simultaneously displays interfaces of two washing units by splitting a touch display screen (110), can rapidly switch the interfaces, saves the cost and is convenient and rapid in use.
