PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical detection system that can reflect light to an image capture unit even if a subject includes a mirror surface on a detection plane or an image has shade at a different position.SOLUTION: An optical detection system comprises a first optical module 10 and a second optical module 12. The first optical module 10 includes: a first light source 100 having a first optical axis A1; and a first image capture unit 102 having a first image capture axis B1 that is symmetrical to the first optical axis with respect to the normal line of a detection plane on a subject, and forms a first angle Φ with the first optical axis.
