PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a trunnion of a toroidal continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A toroidal continuously variable transmission includes an input disc and an output disc disposed in opposition to each other, a power roller tiltably held between the input disc and the output disc and transmitting rotational driving force of the input disc to the output disc with a transmission ratio according to a tilt angle, a pair of pivot portions disposed coaxially with the tilt axis, a trunnion having a body portion which is positioned between the pair of pivot portions in the tilt axial direction, and on which the power roller is rotatably mounted, and a beam extended in the tilt axial direction at a side opposite to the main body portion when observed from the power roller, and connected to the trunnion. The pair of pivot portions are projected to a projecting direction vertical to the tilt axial direction from the main body portion. The beam is connected to the pair of pivot portions by a connection tool inserted to the pair of pivot portions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
