PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for appropriately determining the necessity of data conversion.SOLUTION: A mediation server 60 acquires a server name "SE42" from a multi-function machine 10, and acquires file type information "JPEG" from a data storage server 42. The mediation server 60 determines the necessity of data conversion on the basis of "SE42" and "JPEG". When it is determined that data conversion is necessary, the mediation server 60 transmits an URL "J100" of a conversion server 100 for JPEG to the multi-function machine 10. Thus, the multi-function machine 10 can make the conversion server 100 for JPEG execute data conversion, and output (display or print) an image in accordance with a converted file generated by the data conversion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
