PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weldable, light-weight composite material.SOLUTION: The light-weight composite material includes a pair of separated steel sheets and a core layer between the sheets. The volume of the core layer is 25-95 vol.% based on the total volume of the composite material. The core layer includes a polyolefin, and also includes a plurality of steel fibers. The concentration of the steel fibers is less than 5-30 vol.% based on the volume of the core layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
