A modular display comprises flexible display tiles each having discrete luminous sources distributed over it and configured to drive the discrete luminous sources on it when connected to power and data and control signals. The power, data and control signals are provided to the tiles through conducting tracks formed on a carrier substrate. An electrical connection between conductors on the carrier substrate and conductors on the tile is established by means of a connecting element comprising a mechanism applying a force on a part of the connecting element and keeping it pressed and in contact with a surface of the first conductor or second conductor. The connecting element may include a coil spring, spring contact or pogo pin (Figs. 15-17). |
