This microwave heating device obstructs a terminal end (107) of the microwave transmission direction (MT) in a waveguide (106) so as to generate prescribed standing waves (SW) in the waveguide (106). The positions of the nodes and antinodes of the standing waves (SW) that are generated in the waveguide (106) are arranged substantially symmetrically to the center of a heating chamber (103); therefore, substantially uniform microwave heating of an article (102) being heated is possible without a rotating mechanism. |
