PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant microorganism expressing a human-originated methyl sterol oxidase (SC4MOL) and capable of expressing SC4MOL activity, a method for analyzing SC4MOL metabolite by using the recombinant microorganism, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: There are provided the recombinant prepared by introducing a human-originated methyl sterol oxidase (SC4MOL) gene into a host microorganism cell in an expressible state and in a state capable of expressing the SC4MOL activity; a method to incubate an analyzing specimen together with the recombinant to obtain a reaction product of the analyzing specimen by the SC4MOL and analyze the reaction product; and a method for producing a reaction product with SC4MOL including incubation of a compound possible to act as a substrate of SC4MOL together with the recombinant to obtain a reaction product of the compound by the SC4MOL, and collection of the obtained reaction product. |
