[Class 70] Butadiene rubber substances such as copolymers with styrene or acrylonitrile are regenerated as by heating with coal tar oil and at the same time and/or subsequently adding as plasticizer a carboxylic acid, e.g. acetic, citric, lauric, butyric, or benzoic acid or an aliphatic monohydric alcohol, e.g. methyl, ethyl, propyl or butyl alcohol. Up to 10 per cent. of acid or alcohol may be used, and liquid or dry alkali may be worked into the mass on the mill.</p> |
