The element (1) has a spacer element and a cantilever section that are attached to an outer edge (11) of a window frame (10). A support section supports an insect protection device, and a mounting portion fastens the support section at the window frame. The support section is spaced from the outer edge of the window frame if the spacer element and the cantilever section are installed at the outer edge of the window frame. The mounting portion is fixable at the window frame by an attaching unit e.g. double-sided adhesive band and magnetic attaching unit. An independent claim is also included for an insect protection device. |
