PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel state determination method that enables a determination of a vehicle state in the same conditions without a difference in availability of the determination depending on vehicle types.SOLUTION: In a vehicle travel state determination method that determines a travel state of a vehicle driven by an engine and having a drive force taking-out function that takes out a drive force of the engine as a drive force source of an external device, (1) when the vehicle is in an idling state, it is determined that the vehicle is in a stop state instead of the idling state with an external input trigger signal that starts the drive force taking-out to the external device; and (2) it is determined that the vehicle is in the stop state for a period after it is determined to be in the stop state until the engine speed reaches 0 rpm and a period after the engine speed reaches 0 rpm until the engine starts to rotate again. |
