A method for producing nickel oxide/nickel aluminate nanofibres, comprises (a) dissolving an appropriate amount of nickel (II) nitrate and glycine in deionized water, and (b) dropping the obtained solution onto aluminium oxide nanofibres. In a step (c) the wet nanofibres are aged, and then (d) transferred into a furnace preheated up to 400ºC for at least 30 minutes. Nanofibres obtained by the method are disclosed having a diameters of up to 50nm and an aspect ratio of ≥104. Preferably, the NiO/NiA1204 nanofibres comprise the following compositions in percentage by weight: 0-40 % of NiO and 60-100 % of NiAl2O4, where NiO is dispersed along the NiAl2O4 nanofibers homogeneously. |
