PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity sensing element and a humidity sensor (specially, electric resistance type humidity sensor) capable of accurately sensing ambient humidity even in a low humidity area and/or a high humidity area.SOLUTION: A humidity sensing element is formed of: an aromatic reaction component containing an aromatic aldehyde compound having one or a plurality of formyl groups as reaction sites and an aromatic heterocyclic compound which is adjacent to a heteroatom of a heterocyclic ring and has two or more unmodified α-carbon positions as the reaction sites; and a composition which contains a dopant and in which the aromatic reaction component with a component having three or more reaction sites in one molecule is contained. |
