PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil coating device for a steel strip which can be reduced in size thereof, and can be installed and applied without a great modification of a take-up line for general purpose including a tension reel.SOLUTION: An oil coating roll 13, on at least a surface of which a nonwoven cloth 13c is disposed, is so installed as to be capable of advancing and retracting relative to the upper half part of a tension reel 3, pushing means for pushing the oil coating roll 13 against the surface of a steel strip 1 of the tension reel 3 is provided, and a plurality of oil feed nozzles 17a, 17b for feeding oil towards the surface of the oil coating roll 13 are so provided as to be distributed in the width direction of the steel strip 1. The pushing means comprises a frame 7 which has the oil coating roll 13 at the tip thereof and rotates in vertical direction, and a hydraulic cylinder 11 for energization of the frame 7 downwards. |
