Process for coating silicon surfaces comprising the step of treating said silicon surface with at least one (co)polymer A, comprising in copolymerized form
(A) at least one comonomer bearing a structural unit according to the general formula (I)
wherein
R 1 is m is independently from each other selected from zero to 6,
n is independently from each other selected from zero to 200,
A 1 are different or identical and selected from C 2 -C 10 -alkylene, C 6 -C 10 -arylene and C 7 -C 10 -aralkylene,
(B) optionally, at least one ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid,
(C) optionally, at least one further monomer.
