The present invention pertains to a dye-sensitized solar cell using an electrode equipped with a substrate and one or more oxide layers formed on the substrate. The oxide layers contain two or more types of dyes. Specifically, the color of the oxide layer is adjusted by incorporating the following therein in an overlapping manner: a dye for power generation, wherein the region thereof capable of maximum light absorption is in the wavelength range of at least 270nm and less than 550nm, and the maximum molar attenuation coefficient thereof is 16,000 or higher; and a dye for adjusting color, wherein the region thereof capable of maximum light absorption is in the wavelength range of 550-800nm, inclusive. The oxide layers satisfy the following equations in a L*a*b* color space: L*=3-20, inclusive; a*=0 or less; and b*=0 or less. The present invention is a dye-sensitized solar cell exhibiting a useful power generation efficiency while also taking design characteristics into consideration. |
