PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling method capable of inexpensively and easily controlling lubricity on a rolling interface in accordance with a rolling condition.SOLUTION: A rolling method of rolling a metallic plate while supplying rolling oil includes steps of: supplying a rolling oil-containing composition to a rolling part; and supplying cooling water to the rolling part. The cooling water includes water and a surface active agent. In the rolling oil supplying process and the cooling water supplying process, the rolling oil is laminated on the surface of the metallic plate in a film state, and preferably, supply positions of the rolling oil-containing composition and the cooling water are determined so that the cooling water is placed on the surface of the rolling oil film. The supply positions of the rolling oil-containing composition and/or the cooling water may be a surface of a workpiece roll and/or the surface of the metallic plate. |
