PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a p-octylphenol sulfur chloride co-condensation resin composition having longer scorch time than conventionally known p-octylphenol sulfur chloride co-condensation resin, no reduction of viscoelastic characteristics, further exhibiting basic performance as a crosslinking agent for a rubber such as blocking resistance and dispersibility equivalent to or greater than conventionally known ones, and further having significant reduction of residual amount of volatile organic compounds which becomes problem these days when added to the rubber as the crosslinking agent for the rubber.SOLUTION: A p-octyl phenol sulfur chloride co-condensation resin composition resolving the problem can be supplied by using sulfur monochloride of 1.2 to 1.5 mol to 1 mol of p-tert-octyl phenol, which is more than conventionally known used amount and further removing a solvent or an unreacted monomer with adding coumarone resin of 5 to 50 pts.wt. after reaction end when manufacturing p-octyl phenol sulfur chloride co-condensation resin composition. |
