PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave propagation information measuring apparatus by which pulse wave propagation information can be obtained corresponding to a measuring target section without directly detecting a pulse wave in one end of the measuring target section of an organism.SOLUTION: The pulse wave propagation information measuring apparatus, on the basis of a pulse wave propagation time corresponding to a section from the first part of the artery to the second part thereof that is downstream from the first part and a pulse wave propagation time corresponding to the first part to the third part that is downstream from the first part and that is on the artery branched from the one between the first and second parts, determines a pulse wave velocity corresponding to a section from the first part to the fourth part that is situated in the middle of the route of the artery between the first and second parts and a pulse wave velocity corresponding to a section from the fourth part to the second part. Consequently, without directly detecting a pulse wave in the fourth part, a pulse wave velocity can be obtained corresponding to a measuring target section that makes the fourth part one end. |
