PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when an axial load is applied from the outer ring of a bearing to a tapered snap ring, the radial force component of reactive force generated in a tapered part acts to shrink the diameter of the tapered snap ring, and with the tapered snap ring plastically deforming the groove shoulder of a snap ring groove and inclining itself, the conventional tapered snap ring had come off a housing when a great axial load was applied thereto.SOLUTION: In the state that a tapered snap ring relating to this invention is fitted through a snap ring groove, a tapered part thereof completely enters into the further radial outside than the inner diameter face of a housing. Specifically, in the state that the tapered snap ring is mounted in the housing, the diameter of the edge of the tapered part of the tapered snap ring is set to be larger than the inner diameter of the housing. |
