Disclosed are compositions containing:
a) berberine or analogues thereof or extracts containing them;
b) one or more extracts of Silybum marianum, Camellia sinensis, Ginkgo biloba, Hypericum perforatum, Panax ginseng, Curcuma longa, Ananas comosus, bergamot orange, grapefruit and citrus fruit, or purified fractions or pure ingredients of said extracts.
