发明名称 Improvements in or relating to bobbin-identifying apparatus for yarn and like winding machines
摘要
559,958. Winding yarns; tickets, issuing. UNIVERSAL WINDING CO. Sept. 9, 1942, No. 12740. Convention date, Sept. 11, 1941. [Classes 120 (ii) and 120 (iii)] [Also in Groups XV and XIX] A yarn winding machine has means for applying an identification ticket automatically to a bobbin in such a position that the ticket is held in place by the yarn wound on the bobbin; the means may be operated electromagnetically and in timed relation to the winding operation and the tickets may be supplied from a continuous strip carrying identifying marks. As shown the ticket-applying means 30 is attached to a machine having automatic donning and doffing means and the type described in Specifications 520,038 and 548,654, and comprises a bracket 26 carrying a roll 25 of strip material t and a bracket 36 supporting a channel-shaped base 31 in which are fixed a pair of converging leaf springs 37, 38 between which the strip is led from a guide 28. A channelshaped strip-feeding member 45 is slidably mounted in the base 31 with its rear normally engaging the rear wall of the base 31 and retained by a spring detent 41 in the wall 33 of the base, the detent projecting through a slot in the wall and engaging a groove in the side of the member 45 which carries a pivoted strip-gripping member 55 having its horizontal arm 56 overlying a spring 52 in the back of the member 45 and its edge 60 formed as a cutter cooperating with the cutting edge 51 of a slot in the base of the member 45 which has a depression 63 normally engaged by a spring finger 61 on the arm 56. A V-shaped magnet frame 70, carrying a coil 72 on an arm 71, is mounted on the side 32 of the base 31 and has an armature 75 pivoted thereto and normally held away from the coil by a spring 78; an extension 77 of the armature has a curved face to co-operate with a corresponding face on the arm 71 and carries a projecting arm 85 terminating in a downwardly inclined finger 86 co-operating with a similar finger 90 pivoted to the arm and yieldingly urged upwards by a spring 91 so that a lug 89 thereon engages the arm 85 while another lug 88 limits the movement of the finger 90 away from the finger 86. When a winding operation is completed and the wound bobbin doffed, the yarn y extending from the supply through the thread guide 10 to the doffed bobbin is clamped by the winding spindle cap 4 against the butt of the donned empty bobbin b, and the cam on a controlling shaft which causes the movement of the cap 4 also causing the winding spindle 3 to start rotating and wind the yarn on the bobbin b; another cam on the controlling shaft then closes a switch to complete the circuit through the coil 72, thus causing the armature 75 to be rocked in a clockwise direction and actuate the strip-feeding means 45, 55, movement of the armature 75 causing the finger 90 to engage the upright arm 57 of the member 55 and rock the latter so that the arm 56 grips the strip t against the end of the spring 52. The rocking movement of the member 55 is limited by a finger 65 engaging the upper edge of the wall 33 of the base 31 and further movement of the armature causes the detent 41 to be released from the groove in the member 45 which is slid along with the strip until shoulders on the member engage lugs 48 at the end of the base ; towards the end of this movement the finger 65 rides down an inclined edge at the end of the wall 33 and the member 55 is rocked further against the action of the spring 52 so that the edge 60 of the arm 56 is forced downwards across the edge 51 to sever a ticket T from the strip, the ticket being held by the spring 61 over the depression 63. The rotation of the bobbin b draws the yarn across the top of the ticket to bind it against the bobbin which carries the ticket around with it and withdraws it from the member 55; as the winding of the bobbin is completed the whole length of the ticket is bound there around except for a small end portion which is left projecting to display the identifying marks. Immediately the ticket is delivered to the bobbin, the cam controlling the coil 72 opens the circuit and the armature is rocked away from the coil by its spring 78, the finger 86 then engaging the arm 57 to open the gripping member and thereafter, to slide the member 45 back to its normal position where the detent 41 re-engages it.
