PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure thermal resistance of an inverter device with high precision without exactly recognizing characteristics of a temperature sensor built in the inverter device.SOLUTION: The thermal resistance measuring method is a thermal resistance measuring method for an inverter device with a temperature sensor 12 for measuring a temperature of a power module 11. While coolant of an optional fixed temperature T1 is being supplied to a cooling apparatus 15, an output value V1 of the temperature sensor 12 is measured when the power module 11 is driven with optional fixed power P1. The power module is driven with optional fixed power P2 different from the power P1, and a coolant temperature is changed to reach the output value V1. When an output of the temperature sensor 12 reaches V1, a temperature T2 of the coolant is measured and a thermal resistance value is calculated based on a temperature change in the coolant. |
