The present invention relates to a corrosion inhibitor composition for cavity preservation that can be applied cold and solidified without heating. The corrosion inhibitor composition is composed of 25 to 40 wt% of base fluid selected from a group encompassing VOC-free solvents, mineral oils, esters and combinations thereof, 19 to 25 wt% of polyester resin, 7 to 11 wt% of wax mixture composed of at least two solid paraffins with different solidification points, 12 to 18 wt% of corrosion inhibitor additive selected from a group encompassing sulfonates of alkali and alkaline-earth metals, salicylates, lanolins and combinations thereof, 15 to 25 wt% of fillers and 0.4 to 0.6 wt% of at least one additive selected from the group encompassing at least one anti-skinning agent, a siccative and a dye additive. The invention further discloses the use of the corrosion inhibitor composition for cavity preservation. |
