PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that improves operational efficiency of a fuel cell device in a configuration that allows the fuel cell device to output power while power supply from a system power supply is interrupted.SOLUTION: A power supply system S includes: a fuel cell device 30 that outputs power in interconnection with a system power supply 1; a power storage device 20 that stores therein power from the system power supply 1 and the fuel cell device 30 and discharges the stored power; a first circuit Cr that is provided for transmitting discharged power from the power storage device 20 to the fuel cell device 30; and a second circuit Ct that is provided for transmitting output power from the fuel cell device 30 only to the power storage device 20. When power supply from the system power supply 1 is interrupted, the fuel cell device 30 is halted, and then restarted from a halted state by being supplied through the first circuit Cr with discharged power from the power storage device 20.
