The present invention relates to a reciprocating compressor, and a refrigerating machine using the same. The present invention enables a block guide to be formed on a thrust bearing surface of a cylinder block or a thrust bearing surface of a crank shaft to enable a ball bearing installed between the thrust bearing surfaces to be supported in the journal direction in order to enable the ball bearing to be easily assembled and stabilize a behavior of the ball bearing to reduce damage to or friction loss of the ball bearing. Moreover, a groove is formed in an edge where the block guide and the thrust bearing surface come in contact with each other in order to improve flatness of the thrust bearing surface to improve an assembling state of the ball bearing, thereby stabilizing the behavior of the ball bearing to effectively reduce the damage to or the friction loss of the ball bearing. |
