PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system, an image processing method, and an imaging apparatus, capable of achieving high-sensitivity and high S/N ratio under low illuminance environment for minimizing the degradation of resolution.SOLUTION: In an image processing system 14, an in-plane pattern detection section 50 picks up an in-plane pixel addition pattern which is the highest in correlation with a target pixel among a plurality of in-plane pixel patterns within a target frame image. A reference pattern detection section 70 calculates an inter-plane correlation evaluation value between a plurality of reference pixel patterns and the in-plane pixel addition pattern, and picks up a reference pixel addition pattern which is the highest in correlation with the in-plane pixel addition pattern among the plurality of reference pixel patterns. An auxiliary pixel pattern detection section 90 calculates an in-plane auxiliary correlation evaluation value between an auxiliary pixel patter identified from the target frame image and the in-plane pixel addition pattern. On the basis of the in-plane auxiliary correlation evaluation value and the inter-plane correlation evaluation value, a pixel addition section 20 picks up a pixel addition pattern from the reference pixel addition pattern and the auxiliary pixel pattern, adds the pixels within the pixel addition pattern to generate a correction pixel. |
