Bearing assembly for a centrifuge

The arrangement has a seal (18) e.g. shaft seal, provided for sealing a gap between a bearing support (4) and a barrel cage hub (2), where the barrel cage hub connects a barrel cage (1) with a drive shaft (3) over a mounting of the barrel cage. The drive shaft is coupled to a drive unit (12) and extends in the bearing support along a rotation axis. The barrel cage is supported in the bearing support in such a manner that a bearing force produced by dynamic forces is decoupled by the drive shaft.
