The invention relates to a temperature treatment device (1), such as ovens, for active temperature treatment of a substance (2). The temperature treatment device (1) comprises a temperature treatment chamber (3) for receiving therein the substance (2) via a chamber opening (4), a door (5) for releasing and closing the chamber opening (4), and a receiving or transceiving element (6) enabling wireless communication (8) with a sensor unit (7) freely placeable within the chamber (3). For enhancing wireless communication (8) and facilitating maintenance, service and cleaning, it is proposed that the receiving or transceiving element (6) is integrated in the door (5) and/or positioned on a surface (9) of the door (5).
