[Class 75 (iv)] [Also in Group XXV] In a fluorescent tubular discharge lamp fitting the auxiliary control gear is enclosed at one or both ends of the trough reflector b by a hinged cover-plate a having reflecting or light diffusing outer surfaces and formed with beaded edges a<2> for engagement with a resilient catch el on a plate e carrying the control gear. A U-shaped wire lever pivoted at the beaded edges a<2> fits closely around a slot a<3> for the passage of the lamp c in the inclined portion a<1> of the plate a when the plate is in the closed position. The lever f is provided with looped portions f<2> which engage the top of the trough when the lever is operated and withdraw the beaded edges a<2> from the catch e<1>.
