A method for generating a moving picture and a device thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for generating a moving picture comprises the following steps of: displaying a subject photographed by a camera; converting the subject into a moving picture mode by a user input; sequentially photographing pictures with respect to the displayed subject by using a photographing mode provided in the moving picture mode; and generating a moving image with respect to the displayed subject by using the sequentially photographed pictures. Therefore, the method enables a user to make a moving picture with respect to a subject even without professional knowledge. |
