摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten metal temperature measurement device and a molten metal temperature measurement method that can stabilize a measurement position of a temperature detection part during temperature measurement of a molten metal, and alleviate tensile stress on the temperature detection part at the time of solidification of a molten metal.SOLUTION: A molten metal temperature measurement device comprises: a temperature detection part for measuring a temperature in a molten metal 11; a temperature detection part main body provided with the temperature detection part; holding parts 12 and 13 that hold the temperature detection part main body in a state in which the temperature detection part can measure a temperature, and that allow movement of the temperature detection part main body in at least a condensation direction of the molten metal; and a load application part 6 that applies load in a direction resistant to the condensation direction on the temperature detection part main body. Thereby, at the time of solidification contraction of the molten metal, the movement of the temperature detection part main body is inhibited due to the load applied by the load application part 6, while the temperature detection part main body moves resistant to the load applied by the load application part 6 when tensile stress caused by the solidification contraction increases so that damage to the temperature detection part and the temperature detection part main body due to tensile stress is prevented to realize continuous temperature measurement.
