PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upsetting processing method of a raw material having a pipe-shaped part, capable of easily forming a flange in an opening end part of the raw material by using a spinning machine, without requiring large-scaled equipment even in the raw material having the pipe-shaped part comparatively thick in a wall thickness.SOLUTION: The upsetting processing method is applied to a raw material 2 having a pipe-shaped part 2b, and can form a flange 13 only on the outside in the radial direction in the opening end part of the raw material 2 by fitting a mandrel 12 inside the pipe-shaped part 2b of the raw material 2 by being plastically deformed by compressing the opening end part in the pipe-shaped part 2b of the raw material in the axial direction by a pressing roller 6, while rotating the raw material 2 around its axis. |
