The invention concerns a safety arrangement and a method of its operation belonging to an elevator facility comprising a measurement system delivering data for a conclusion of where an elevator car is positioned within an elevator shaft, wherein an audible alert signal is issued being triggered in dependency of the position data of the car relative to the shaft.
