The invention relates to a method for loosening animal feed (41), wherein the method comprises having at least one grab bucket (19) carry out a loosening action under the control of a control unit (27), wherein the loosening action comprises the following steps: • a) gripping the animal feed at a first location using the grab bucket; • b) raising the grab bucket to a predetermined minimum height, as a result of which at least some of the animal feed is carried along; and • c) releasing the animal feed which was carried along, irrespective of the amount of animal feed which was carried along. |
