摘要 A machining arrangement 10 comprising first and second robotic arms 12b, 14b, including first and second end effectors 12c, 14c and a chord 16 extending between the end effectors 12c, 14c. The robotic arms 12b, 14b are able to move their end effectors 12c, 14c independently relative to a workpiece so the chord 16 can be manipulated. One end effector may be able to move independently relative to another end effector. The chord 16 may be manipulated in multiple planes. The end effectors 12c, 14c may comprise pulleys. The chord 16 may be an endless loop. The chord 16may be moved in an oscillating or reciprocating manner and may comprise a wire saw, chain saw, sanding belt, buffing belt and/or rasping belt. The chord 16 may be flexible in one plane and rigid in another. There may be three or more robotic arms and/or two or more chords. A guard (40 fig 8) may be arranged to partially cover the chords.
