PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press forming method of a longitudinally curving hat-shaped member, which hardly causes a defective shape due to the spring back of a curve section provided so that a hat head has a protruding shape when viewed from a longitudinal wall direction (side).SOLUTION: In a press forming method of a longitudinally curving hat-shaped member, a metal plate is press-formed into the hat-shaped member that has a hat-shaped cross section with a height h and a curve section provided so that the hat head has a protruding shape when viewed from the longitudinal wall direction (side), so that a curvature radius R1 outside of the hat head of the curve section and a curvature radius R2 inside of a flange section of the curve section satisfy the relationship R1-R2>h. |
