The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a tuning screw for a cavity filter, the method comprising: a first process of forming a front end part of a metallic material cut into a predetermined length into a hemispherical curved part through a forging process; a second process of removing burr formed along a rear end edge of the curved part which is formed in the front end through the first process; a third process of forming a step part in the rear end of the curved part of the material completing the second process; and a fourth process of forming a tuning groove in the rear end of the material completing the second process. According to the present invention, since a curved part is simply formed in a front end of a material through a forging process without a cutting process when a tuning screw for a cavity filter is manufactured, tuning screws of a uniform size are manufactured and a time needed for forming a curved part is largely reduced, so the entire manufacturing time of a tuning screw is reduced and a defect rate is lowered, and thereby an effect advantageous to mass production is provided. |
