PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion ion current detection device capable of precisely identifying the start time of a combustion duration indicated in an ion current waveform.SOLUTION: In a step S15, an exclusive logical sum (Exclusive OR) of a first rectangular wave data Dt1 and a second rectangular wave data Dt2 is calculated to produce a third rectangular wave data Dtf as a result in this step. The exclusive logical sum of the data Dt1 and the data Dt2 will cancel a rectangular wave data corresponding to an electric discharge current waveform, as shown in Fig. 4. Consequently, only rectangular wave data corresponding to an ion current waveform is left. |
