A hand held appliance comprises a body 30, a handle 20 having a first end 22 connected to the body 30 and a second end 24 distal to the first end 22. An end wall (210, fig.1) extends across the handle 20 at the second end 24. The end wall (210, fig.1) is part of a detachable portion 44, which may include a plurality of apertures 46 forming a fluid inlet into the appliance. The detachable portion 44 may be flexible and made from a plastic material such as polypropylene and/or ABS. The detachable portion 44 may comprise a rim (430, fig.9) and a lip (440, fig.9) which extends beyond the outer wall (200, fig.9) of the handle 20. |
