PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper take-out device capable of preventing a failure of transportation of paper from occurring, and further to provide a paper processing unit.SOLUTION: A paper take-out device includes: take-out means; thickness detection means; thickness storage means; paper detection means; acquisition means; setting means; and adjustment means. The take-out means takes out paper fed to a transportation path. The thickness detection means measures a thickness of the paper taken out by the take-out means. The thickness storage means stores thickness information detected by the thickness detection means. The paper detection means detects the paper taken out by take-out means. The acquisition means acquires a thickness of precedent paper preceding the paper taken out by the take-out means and being fed to the transportation path from the thickness storage means. The setting means sets an interval between the precedent paper and the paper taken out by the take-out means in response to the thickness of the precedent paper acquired by the acquisition means. The adjustment means adjusts timing when the paper detected by the paper detection means is fed to the transportation path in accordance with the interval set by the setting means. |
