PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of shortening the time for connection to a permanent magnet and simplifying a manufacture facility by making an outer peripheral core for permanent magnet demagnetization serially connectable, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The outer peripheral core fixed on a surface of the permanent magnet includes: a core main body part which is fixed to the permanent magnet and in which a circumferential extension part accommodation recess is recessed on one side in a circumferential direction and a circumferential extension part connection recess is recessed at the same position in an axial direction as the circumferential extension part accommodation recess and on the other side in the circumferential direction; and a circumferential extension part which is accommodated within the circumferential extension part accommodation recess, mounted to the core main body part so as to be rotated around a first axis of which the axial center is defined as an axial direction, and extended/reduced in the circumferential direction, and configured rotatable around a second axis of which the axial center is defined as an axial direction, attachable to/detachable from and connectable to the circumferential direction extension part connection recess of the core main body part of which one end portion protruding from the circumferential direction extension part accommodation recess is positioned on one side in the circumferential direction. |
