The present invention relates to a medium composition having improved sensitivity and selectivity for Campylobacter comprising cefoxitin and a preparing method thereof. The medium composition comprises: nutrient broth No.2 (brand name) by Oxoid; bacteriological charcoal; casein hydrolysates; sodium desoxycholate; ferrous sulphate; sodium pyruvate; agar; cefoxitin; and amphotericin B. In addition, the medium composition of the present invention shows excellent effects in comparison with conventional media for sensitivity and selectivity.
