PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method of a leaf type filter excellent in treatment efficiency.SOLUTION: The operation method of a leaf type filter comprises a liquid filling step of filling an original liquid into a filter tank 21 and a precoat step of passing the original liquid through a filter medium 23f and forming a precoat layer (p) by sticking solid matter included in the original liquid to the filter medium 23f, and a leaf 23 is rotated in the liquid filling step and/or the precoat step. The filter medium 23f and the original liquid are evenly in contact with each other regardless of a liquid surface position and the concentration distribution of the original liquid, and the precoat layer (p) is uniformly formed. Thus, time required for the precoat step is shortened, and treatment time as a whole is shortened, and the treatment efficiency is improved. |
