[Class 142 (iv)] A contrasting pattern effect is produced on one or both faces of a woven fabric by employing a combination of low and abnormally low turns yarn. The low turns yarn may have from 5 to 6 turns per inch, and abnormally low turns yarn may have from 1.5 to 3 turns per inch. The yarns may be of either right or reverse twist, or both in combination, and may be woven in either the warp or weft or both. Two or more fold yarns made up of differently coloured yarns may be employed for colour effects, or fold yarns such as wool, cotton or rayon having different dyeing properties may be used. |
